Director of Mission Advancement

•Full Time

•Volunteer to Employment (salaried option will become available once consistent revenue is obtained through the position).

The Development Director, reporting directly to the CEO, is responsible for developing and implementing Local-driven fundraising strategies and capital campaigns for the organization. The Development Director should also work closely with the CPO to seek out alternative revenue streams for the organization and write grants accordingly. The Director of Mission Advancement should be in-tune with Southwind culture and values and possess a high-level of communication and team-building skills, especially with regard to local churches.


Independence Pursuit Instructor

Southwind Fields is a nonprofit that fosters purpose, belonging, and independence for adults with learning differences. We believe every individual deserves to live a life they love, in community.

Position Overview:

In our Independence Pursuit (Day) Program—designed to be a stepping stone toward supported independence—you’ll instruct adults in practical life skills. You’ll empower participants to develop confidence, community, and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

* Teach practical skills such as cooking, budgeting, social interaction, and navigating community resources (e.g., grocery shopping, bus use, etc).

* Plan and facilitate engaging, hands-on as well as conversation-based instruction that fosters growth and confidence.

* Promote a supportive, fun, and inclusive environment aligned with Southwind Fields’ values.

Qualifications:

* At least three years of meaningful experience teaching and/or interacting with adults with learning differences.

* Working knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities.

* Strong emotional IQ

* Creative perspective and approach to teaching of life skills, social skills, and/or community living.

* Strong work ethic, reliability, and a deep commitment to the lifestyle of supporting our community. Being present and engaged is vital to our close-knit team.

* A collaborative team spirit and deep willingness to adopt and maintain Southwind Fields values, acting as a culture carrier to both our “locals” and the community.

You’ll help Southwind “locals” grow in independence, find meaningful community, and embrace their God-given identity in Christ with confidence.

Schedule:

Mon, 8:30am to 3:30pm

Tues–Thurs, 8:30am to 12:00p.m.
