Everyone deserves to live a life they love.  Everyone.

We believe in the purpose, fulfillment, dignity, and appreciation that comes through using our unique giftings to serve others. We strive to make an impact in the lives of adults with learning differences by providing them the opportunity to make an impact in our community and in our world.

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
— 1 Peter 4:10

TRAINING FOR your company or ORGANIZATION

WE OFFER A VARIETY OF ON-SITE AND OFF-SITE TRAININGS FOR YOUR COMPANY OR ORGANIZATION:

1) SPECIAL NEEDS TRAINING: We would love to meet your HR team, leadership team, managerial teams, or even large scale employee groups. People with special needs tend to make the BEST employees for so many reasons, and often come with a great support system as well. In this super fun class, we’ll go over common types of intellectual disabilities, what to expect during the hiring process for someone with special needs, communication tips, and accommodations. To schedule a training for your organization, email Leslie.Bellieu@southwindfields.com.

2) BEHAVIORAL DE-ESCALATION: This course is intended for staff members of a service organization, or caretakers of someone who has an intellectual disability. At the completion of this training, staff members will be certified in SAMA. Attendees will be able to support their clients and gently de-escalate verbally tense situations, potentially aggressive, and physically aggressive behaviors, in a nursing and kind way. We believe in a tender-hearted approach, using every attempt to help teach those we serve to make their own decisions.
